Aletra Capital Partners acquires interest in allMobility

allmobility
November 2007

In August 2005 Aletra bought a share in allMobility, located in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company is active in the mobile telecommunications market.

allMobility (www.allmobility.de) was founded by an experienced team of international telecom and marketing specialists in 2004. The company collaborated with Schlecker and Vodafone in launching smobil, a prepaid brand.

Schlecker, the world’s largest drugstore chain, has more than 10,000 retail outlets in Germany that are visited by 16 million paying customers a week. Schlecker’s image as “Preisberühmt” is the perfect match for smobil’s “no frills, low price” image.

Vodafone is one of the largest suppliers of mobile telecommunication services in Germany and is known for the high quality of its mobile network.

Smobil was introduced in May 2006 and acquired more than 600,000 users in 18 months

allMobility was sold to Vodafone in the fall of 2007
